2026 marks the 130th anniversary of Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU). Against the backdrop of this milestone year, the 6th International Conference on Electronic Information Engineering and Computer Technology (EIECT 2026) was successfully held at Beijing Jiaotong University in Beijing from September 4 to 5. The conference also served as an academic tribute to the university’s 130th anniversary.
The conference brought together more than 200 experts, scholars, and researchers from nearly 10 countries and regions, including China, Canada, the United States, Austria, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, and Greece. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on cutting-edge technologies and the latest research advances in electronic information engineering, computer technology, and related fields.

Conference Venue
The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Guan Ke of Beijing Jiaotong University. Professor Wang Jian, Deputy Director of the Institute of Scientific and Technological Research at Beijing Jiaotong University; Professor Qin Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Key Laboratory of Autonomous Rail Rapid Transit at Beijing Jiaotong University; and Professor Markus Rupp of TU Wien, Chair of the conference, delivered opening remarks in succession.
The three speakers extended a warm welcome to all participating experts and scholars and congratulated the conference on its successful opening. In their remarks, they shared their perspectives and expectations on scientific research and innovation in universities, academic exchange and collaboration, and the development of international academic platforms. They expressed the hope that the conference would serve as a bridge to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation among experts and scholars from China and abroad, bring together diverse expertise and resources, and jointly advance academic research and innovation in electronic information engineering, computer technology, and related fields.

Opening Remarks
During the conference, seven keynote speeches and six invited talks were delivered, focusing on a range of cutting-edge research areas, including 6G communications, intelligent networks, wireless channel modeling, distributed MIMO, integrated sensing and communication, artificial intelligence, and large language models (LLMs).
The keynote sessions featured Professor Weihua Zhuang of the University of Waterloo, Canada, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Engineering Institute of Canada, Royal Society of Canada, and IEEE; Professor Shiwen Mao of Auburn University, USA, IEEE Fellow; Professor Yan Zhang of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and IEEE Fellow; Professor Markus Rupp of TU Wien, Austria, IEEE Fellow; Professor Fredrik Tufvesson of Lund University, Sweden, IEEE Fellow; Dr. Gao Bo of ZTE Corporation; and Dr. Tian Hong Loh of the National Physical Laboratory, UK, IEEE Fellow.
The speakers focused on cutting-edge developments in computer technology and related fields, providing in-depth analyses of the latest technological advances and research findings. During the conference, awards were also presented to outstanding researchers, including the Best Paper Best Oral Presentation Award, and Best Poster Award, recognizing high-quality academic achievements and outstanding presentations.
